IL019 All-purpose Olive Branch Softened - 100% Linen Fabric - Medium (5.3 oz/yd2), Width 59"
Linen's earthy green rolls outwards across Hieronymus Bosch's fantastical scenes,
forming endless pastures of muddy grass and fervent trees that evoke the
utopian paradise of Eden. His paintings are brimming with moralizing
stories about life, love, loss, and repentance, as impish humans, birds,
fish, insects, and machines form mini-dramas that play out in a complex
myriad of theatrical sequence.
But it is the paradisiacal, olive green landscape that unites them, a soft neutral with golden undertones, which, when bedecked with small patches of glistening jewel tones, sparkles with vitality and life.
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 59 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the waffle fabric!! Will it ever be created in the olive or another green hue? Looking forward to the next time it is on sale to purchase for my sisters! :) :)
Happy to hear you love this linen and we are hoping to bring in additional colors, but more than likely it wouldn't be until some time in the mew year . Thank you for letting us know what you would like to see from us and please check back in more towards the end of the year to see If we've had any updates.
Love the natural look of this fabric!
One of my favorites! Getting a great shade of 'olive' fabric is difficult but this one is perfect!
I have roman shades in my kitchen that are olive, white and light blue and I wanted to make drapes to go with them. I ordered samples and olive branch and powder blue were perfect matches. I made drapes in bleached, with a border of olive branch and powder blue, and they are gorgeous. Not colors I would have ever really thought of putting together, but I love it. Going to order some more to do a few more projects.
This came quickly! I was going to make a skirt then decided to do a dress. Glad it came so fast to continue my project. This is amazing fabric to work with and wear.
I love this fabric and the color is the perfect shade of 'olive'!
By the time I got around to photographing and posting this embroidered Mexican style dress, it had been washed and worn several times by my daughter for whom it was made. It is mid calf length with pockets, and an embellished hem. I wanted to post the full length picture, but this site distorts it into a square, making it look very short and squat so I opted for the close-up of the embroidered top. As with all linen garments, the more it is washed and worn the better it gets!
Love these linens for making children's elf cloaks! Medium weight and easy to sew! Great colors: Olive Branch, Beets, Brownstone! Made by Lyn Tayler Lee for my Etsy store: etsy.com/listing/1480885045/childs-elf-pixie-medieval-renaissance?click_key=9b92cee32edda43f18aa8a90e526bc96aa1975b3%3A1480885045&click_sum=59a4b848&ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1&sts=1
This linen was the PERFECT choice for a new base layer for my Elven Ranger kit for Ren Faire this year. (The long sleeved garment in the photo.) Just thick enough to not be too light, while being super breathable... an absolute necessity for hot Faire days when wearing leather armor. It was a dream to work with, as well, especially for an amateur just getting started.
