Good Morning! I'm totally lost on the E and F pieces. Can someone please provide me with more details? I cut the entire piece on the fold (which includes both E and F) and it's too small to fit around the waist. Am I supposed to cut 1 full piece (E and F) on the fold and then cut 2 separate pieces (F only)?

Hi There! I hope this helps. For the joined piece E/F Cut two pieces from your fabric as mirror images of each other. Then, cut or fold away the F section, and cut one of E on the fold. This will give you the two front pieces (E/F) and one larger back piece (E).
Really need help with the skirt cut out. It says to cut E- back skirt only 1 that to on fold and part F- front skirt 2 on face to face. Do i need to make a cut on the line in between which says "center back on fold of fabric? Your help would be really appreciated.

Yes, to cut the front and back pieces, you will need to cut, or place the fold along the appropriate line listed on the pattern piece.

Hello, I am ready to cut the skirt of the EMILY PATTERN ... Salvage on the R AND L ... the pdf fabric and pathern picture shows the grainline not being parallel to the salvage of the fabric....which is not the same as the definitions on your sewing glossary.... When making the Emily Dress, is the IL020 POWER PINK Softened - 100% Linen - Light (3.7 oz/yd2) going to be too sheer for a late afternoon outdoor wedding, or is it sufficient weight as to not be terribly see-through? I plan on lengthening the dress to a midi or maxi length. I love the look of the light weight! Suggestions would be appreciated!! Thank you in advance...

Generally, lighter colors in the IL020 fabrics are a little see through, so most like to line their garments in this fabric, or wear a slip for dresses.
After having to alter the sleeves three different times because they didn't fit in the holes, I cut out the pattern wrong for the skirt and I didn't have enough fabric to redo it. Is the "put it on the fold line" supposed to be on F instead of E? Honestly very upset that this is all going in the trash. This pattern is not written with a beginner in mind.
Looks like a nice pattern, but the princess seams did not work for me. The smaller piece was too big to align with the other one and the marks don't align. I would be happy about any tips

I am trying to sew this pattern, and I don't understand how to make princess seams work. I matched the notches and used the recommended seam allowance, but I get a sharp corner at the top, and because of this I have trouble matching the sleeve to the armscye.
