A 57 inch wide heavier linen weighing 8.1 ounces it is referred to as canvas weight , this linen is perfectly suited for projects that require a sturdier yet still fashionable linen.

The Premier Finish undergoes a two-step process to give the cloth a luxurious, supple feel right out of the box.

First, we apply a softener to give the fabric a silkier surface. Then, strong blasts of air are blown into the woven cloth. This beats up the fibers to make them softer and mimics the fiber bending process that the fabric undergoes when you've used it a lot.

This finishing process gives the fabric a much softer and more luxurious hand. It will be less prone to deep creases and have less linting. Shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration based on the fabric type ( thread size, count, weave type).

Quality heavier weight linen.

I took a chance and purchased this heavier weight Oxford Blue because I have been waiting for a navy color. It is not as dark as Dress Blue IL019. To my delight, I did not see any fabric bleeding during the initial stage of presoaking with this specific batch/fabric. Excellent quality linen. I also appreciate the FS Colour Series by Rosie Lesso where she describes the color for us!

I made elastic waist wide leg pants. I altered a pattern from Sewing Pattern Book III Skirt & Pants (Nihon Vogue Sha) by slightly extending the body of the pattern and folding it over to form a waist line. I prefer this heavier weight for bottoms over 4C22. Sturdy yet drapes elegantly! Oxford Blue color.
