Fabric specifications:
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
Our FS Signature Finish was developed exclusively for us using a special process that makes this linen super soft with a comfy, classic look you'll love at first sight.
As a bonus, this process removes almost all of the initial shrinkage, giving you more fabric to get your projects done.
This finish makes the linen as soft as butter. Yep, 100% linen that feels and drapes and sews as no linen you have ever encountered. Because the fabric has been pre-shrunk for you - it will be less than the base cloth width.

IL-019 , 100%Linen is washable and soft. This fabric is not wrinkle free, Linen fabric is always will have a wrinkles, our recommendation do not over dry when using the dryer.
Is it possible to order a sample of this fabric?

We usually use our 7.1 4C22 heavyweight or above like the 9oz for towels. We also love the IL002 Jacquards and the IS010 waffle weave which is a cotton linen blend.

It is lovely linen but it is too shear for the dress I want to make. I suppose it will get less shear after washing but then I couldn't return it. I doubt the fabric will hold up to use in re-enactment. The color "dried herb" is a drab grayish green not the forest green that it appeared to be online. I will be returning it in favor of the heavier linen in a brighter green.
This is a beautifully textured linen with deep, saturated color. The weave is soft, smooth and tightly woven, I'm extremely pleased with this fabric!

I used the IL019 All-purpose Dried Herb Fs Signature Finish - 100% Linen - Medium (5.3 oz/yd2) fabric and LOVE it! I just wanted an easy summer top to make and will be making another one with the wheat color. I used the linen vest pdf sewing pattern purchased from Victoria Pattern Shop on Etsy and also love it. Highly recommend fabric.
Made this dress out of stashed fabric I had plus a little bit of green linen from fabric-store's doggy bag— perfect for both the straps and the top band! Great weight and very pleased with this warm green color.
