Rich, warm browns like COGNAC linen appeared again and again in Swiss artist Paul Klee’s art, coloring it with deep, dark and mysterious qualities.
Klee was one of a generation of early 20th century artists who abandoned references to the real world, reaching instead for ways to represent transcendental experiences and unseen spiritual realms. Warm browns and flesh tones drew his imagery closer to nature and the human body, which he saw as gateways into another world.
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 59 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

This weight linen is perfect for slacks. This soft medium brown was just what I expected. It is a little like hot cocoa with just a hint of rose in it. Although the name sounds like it would have some amber in it, it doesn't have any yellow undertones.
The cognac linen is perfect for this tailored short jacket of my own design.
Linen has a beautiful drape and is so comfortable to wear. I think it elevates any pattern and adds a softness that really appeals to me.
I've already integrated these capris into my weekly rotation. They are so comfy to wear and easy to style, especially in this gorgeous new color, Cognac. Another perfect neutral brown, this color has slightly pink/warm undertones and is a complement to the neutral toned palette I've been gravitating towards recently.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
