This is a 19" wide twin to the 4C22 Rustic linen line.

Woven out of the same size thread and with the same thread density this IL084 is just woven to be narrow. That means less cutting time for you and you can get to the fun part of using your linen items sooner.

At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces a square yard this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.

Yarn Dyed fabrics are made using threads that are dyed separately before being woven. This allows for a larger variety of patterns and designs that stand out from the base fabric color. Design created exclusively for F|S.

Narrow width cloth is great for:

  • Shopping bags
  • Purses
  • Placemats
  • Runners
  • Decorative pillows
  • Kitchen towels
  • Appliance covers
  • Potholders
  • Cushions

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

how many towels will a yard make?

Generally, we like to cut our towels between 27- 31" long before washing and shrinking. So from one yard, you will get one towel and some extra. If you get 3 yards, and cut at 27" long, you will get 4 towels.

I'm making sets of tea towels as gifts this year. 'Just a little throw in the box to make someone's day a bit better. So far, everyone loves them. I absolutely love mine!

My new favorite!

I love the contrast of the black and white stripe! The rustic weave and texture of this fabric is always good, but this black and white adds an element of modern art to even a simple kitchen towel. I'm definitely going to order more and make aprons, a cover for my stand mixer (actually my Grams old mixer -1950's- that still works. It's white with black trim). Instead of table runners and placemats, I'm thinking chair pads and pillows. Now, how many yards would I need to make a braided rag rug with the fabrics in this collection?

Erin profile image High quality kitchen towels

This fabric is striking. If you love a stripe like I do this is a great choice. I washed in hot water and dried twice to really soften the fabric before sewing into kitchen towels.

Such a fun fabric!

I made the Akira pants with this "towel" fabric. It was so easy to work with! I just started making garments and had not made pants since 8th grade home-ec, 38 years ago. The directions & photo explanation booklet made it very easy. I've now made 4 pairs all with different variations. I put cuffs on these. The heavier weight will make these last forever & after washing & drying they are so soft & comfortable!

Easy kitchen towels!

I bought 1.5yd doggie bag cuts of each of the new white/pastel stripe colorways. 1.5yd makes two towels! Simply fold in half, mark and divide; then turn the cut ends under twice and straight stitch. I added commercial cotton twill tape hanger loops to my towels. Husband prefers these in the kitchen to the natural (read: brown) for the optics. I'm more interested in how a kitchen towel performs and these are fantastic! They suck up water fast, air-dry quickly when hung up, leave no lint, and if ironed can do double or triple duty on the dining table as placemats and napkins.

OLIVIER WHITE BLACK and OLIVIER WHITE SLATE Kitchen towels. I used a solid linen for accent on the bottom of towels. Love this fabric!

The Akira pants. I added cuffs. I like the heavier weight of the towel fabric. After washing/drying they are so soft & comfortable to wear!
