IL019 All-purpose Cerulean Softened - 100% Linen Fabric - Medium (5.3 oz/yd2), Width 59"
Dazzling shades of blue like CERULEAN Linen were a hallmark feature of Pablo Picasso’s late art, coloring it with the fresh light of the Mediterranean Sea. In his later years Picasso settled in the South of France, and, much like his contemporary Henri Matisse, the vivid, intense colors he encountered there ignited his artworks with sparkling, joyful vitality.
But there is another reason, perhaps, why Picasso’s late art is so forcefully bright; he knew, by now that his name would be cemented in history, and this breezy, effervescent confidence fizzes and sparkles through his late art, shaping its colors and forms.
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 59 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Customer Questions and Answers
I've worn this blue out into the sunshine for over 12 hour days at the renaissance fair. It has barely faded from the color of my remnants. Incredibly impressed with the dye on this fabric.
Thank you so much! We pride ourselves on selecting the best dyes for our fabrics and creating heirloom quality fabrics.
The color is gorgeous. The hand is great as always. Can't wait to make a garment.
Ordered and received this fabulous color in short order. Washed and dried and realy to sew. Excited.
I purchased this to make a man's pajama pant & this fabric weight is perfect for that usage. I bought the matching waffle fabric for a matching bathrobe and the colors are an exact match. I adore sewing the 019 & look forward to this particular project. I will post a photo once the pj pant is completed.
This was my second order of cerulean because I decided to make a new duvet and didn't have enough. Putting a tie dye insert in the middle. Still working on it. It's so easy to work with and I am using medium weight white for tie dye. The linen takes the dye beautifully. Using procion fiber reactive dyes and the insert came out with such vivid colors. Will post picture when it's done. I have a box full of this medium weight linen in all colors and will be making lots of clothes and accessories. Love it.
