At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
Our FS Signature Finish was developed exclusively for us using a special process that makes this linen super soft with a comfy, classic look you'll love at first sight.
As a bonus, this process removes almost all of the initial shrinkage, giving you more fabric to get your projects done.
This finish makes the linen as soft as butter. Yep, 100% linen that feels and drapes and sews as no linen you have ever encountered. Because the fabric has been pre-shrunk for you - it will be less than the base cloth width.

Is there a difference in color between this and IL20 Dawn?

Yes, IL020 Down has more dusty pink shade and IL019 has more soft pink shade . We are offering sample swatches if you interesting you can order swatches to compere the colors.
Can you dye signature finish linen

I'm looking to make baby blankets. I like the soft pink, but I don't see where you offer this in a Soft Blue. Would that be something you will be offering anytime soon? Thank you Sharon

If I'm understanding the description correctly, I do not need to launder this fabric prior to sewing since it is pre-shrunk?

You will be having smaller % of shrinkage around 2-3% , you can start sewing without pre washing the fabric

I used this fabric to make the Faye Dudter, free pattern, for my daughter, she love, loved, loved it!! The only thing i will do different, is modify the underarm area of the sleeve, to make it easier for all french seams. The Color is scrumtious!!
This is my first time sewing with linen, though I have been sewing for years. It is a lovely soft pink with beautiful drape. I used it to make a flannel-backed throw for my Valentine's Day decor. I'll include a photo if I can.
I made a casual, loose shirt with this linen. It is a lovely color. The fabric is much more loosely woven and coarser than I expected. I needed to finish off the seams quickly so they didn't ravel. But I am happy with the shirt.

She uses linen in almost all her patterns. They are mainly Boho Chic or Lagen Look style and your fabrics are perfect. I run them through a cold rinse cycle and dry in a cool dryer and after that I wash in cold water and cool dry. They require very little ironing and I have no shrinkage issues. I also love it that if I have a question all I have to do is email an I actually get an answer. Thank you for your outstanding fabric and your 5***** star customer service.
I made a long skirt and blouse from this for a wedding, and received rave reviews. It was a dream to work on, and even though it's linen, traveled well and didn't wrinkle excessively when sitting down. One note: Before working with it, I took a 6 inch square, serged the edges and washed it normally. It didn't shrink much, but was more a blush white than pink. When I preshrunk it [and later washed the garments] I washed on delicate with a lingerie detergent, and the color remained soft pink, totally gorgeous.
This color is gorgeous. It looks exactly like the picture, which I was worried about since I was buying online. I would definitely buy again.
Once washed this fabric is the most beautiful pink. I bought it for a top, but am pondering what else to make from it. Will be ordering more.
I made three dresses from IL019 signature soft pink linen for my granddaughters and grand-niece to wear at my niece's wedding. The big girls' dresses were from an Etsy pattern Edessa dress from little lizard king and did require some alterations. But all in all they came out lovely for a summer wedding. Love this company and the fabrics they offer! I might be addicted.

I made a Tessuti Yuki Dress with this wonderful softened linen. I found it very easy to sew, and that it didn't shrink when I washed it in cold water, and hung it to drip dry. As you can see from the photo, it wrinkles a little, but only enough to show that it's real linen! (My contrast collar is made of silk.)

I copied the little girl's dress already posted here for my 7 year old granddaughter. I had the devil of a time understanding French seaming for the sleeves! (You have to have the right side facing out, you cannot wing it to determine which is the left, which the right.) I am mailing it to her this morning.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
