At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.
The Premier Finish undergoes a two-step process to give the cloth a luxurious, supple feel right out of the box.
First, we apply a softener to give the fabric a silkier surface. Then, strong blasts of air are blown into the woven cloth. This beats up the fibers to make them softer and mimics the fiber bending process that the fabric undergoes when you've used it a lot.
This finishing process gives the fabric a much softer and more luxurious hand. It will be less prone to deep creases and have less linting. Shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration based on the fabric type ( thread size, count, weave type).

Lovely heavyweight linen, a true green. Think three weeks into early spring, when all the foliage is just freshly sprouting. It is a lovely neutral but somewhat bright green, not too blue nor too yellow.
If you want a green for Christmas, this is it. Very green no undertones of anything else. I don't mean it as a bad thing but there is nothing subtle about this color.

I'm a big fan of a pattern with multiple garment options included. I have made the Riva Top multiple times and with different length variations even a dress but today I pulled out the Riva Pattern yet again to make a second pant variation, the shorts! Just as I enjoyed the process of the pants when I made them in heavier 7.1oz Bleached Softened, I have enjoyed the shorts made in this beautiful 7.1 oz Juniper Softened! These feel like the perfect summer resort wear shorts to dress up or dress down your outfit and I'm not even going to a resort.

I made the Paolo workwear jacket (Fabrics-Store free pattern). Fit is spot on. Love the 4C22 fabric - Wish there were more colors! Made the pattern as is although I added the back yoke & center seam detail.
Color is slightly less blue in person. Sews up well, but requires careful seam finishing. I bias bound all of the exposed seams on this jacket. This is the most scratchy linen I've worn in a while, but I expect it to soften over time.

I love, love these towels made of Rustic, 4C22 in Juniper. The color is beautiful. I wasn't sure about using linen for towels, but I like them very much. They are absorbent and invigorating. Tying the fringe was easy and I finished about the same time my movie was over. Some of the towels I stitched a band of contrast left over from my sheets for variation. Planning to make more for gifts.

We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
