Fabric specifications:
At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.
The Premier Finish undergoes a two-step process to give the cloth a luxurious, supple feel right out of the box.
First, we apply a softener to give the fabric a silkier surface. Then, strong blasts of air are blown into the woven cloth. This beats up the fibers to make them softer and mimics the fiber bending process that the fabric undergoes when you've used it a lot.
This finishing process gives the fabric a much softer and more luxurious hand. It will be less prone to deep creases and have less linting. Shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration based on the fabric type ( thread size, count, weave type).

Color is a bit off
I saw another customer is reporting the same issue. I have used this particular color and weight of linen for 10 years and have absolutely loved it. The fabric quality and weight is still OK but the color seems to have changed which is affecting the products I make as they are not consistent with one another. I have photos if needed but don't see a way to attach to this review. I also noticed a similar, but not as significant difference, in the color of your autumn gold heavyweight linen. It seems to be a little more yellow than it used to be and does not match up with my previous bolt.
Beautiful texture, strong blue undertone
I have purchased hundreds of yards of linen from Fabric-store over the past 15 years. The "hand" of this fabric is beautiful. However, I was a bit disturbed by the color. To me, a "gray" should have less "blue" in it, unless the listing (or the photos) make it clear that it is a bluish gray. So. The fabric is fine, but I was not thrilled with the color.
