Please allow around 5% shrinkage for 4C-22 Rustic Black Premier Finish. We recommend a cool to warm water wash with a tumble dry low heat.

Hello, I'm looking at using this to make a bookcase on a quilt and I'm curious if you know what chemicals are added to it as I'm making it for my sister with leukemia and some things are OK but I'm just trying to understand what exactly the chemical applied to the process of softener, etc. might be

Wrong colour

Unfortunately, the colour is not black, it is something between black and Nine iron. Also, the quality leaves to be desired - this piece of fabric has many knots. Now, I have to think over how to use it and create a project I have never planned.

Every year we receive new harvest. The color from new harvest can came out not so bright black due to the natural flax . We trying our best to hit black colorway. Regarding the knots , for the 4C-22 Rustic Linen fabric you can see more knots than on other articles of fabric.

Lovely texture and weight

I made the free high-waist culottes pattern and a sleeveless dress. Both turned out great and the fabric is a perfect weight for spring. It's substantial enough to wear with a sweater, but it will work for a warmer day, too.

Such a great fabric

I haven't used this weight linen yet, but I have made several pairs of linen cropped pants and one lightweight linen top from fabric-stores.com linen, and I really love the linen. I'm sure I'll love this one, too. I am planning to make another pair of slightly heavier weight cropped pants and a black linen bag. The pants I have made have been wonderful -- much softer and more comforttable than those I buy pre-made, and they don't crease if I get them out of the dryer before it stops, they have a most wonderful texture.

Finished Projects

After looking through many wide leg pant designs, I landed on the FS CASS pattern for its many design details I love for a summer pant. To no one's surprise, I decided to make this classic and versatile piece in FS BLACK heavy linen, my favorite fabric lately. The heavier-weight is a little stiff at first, but softens beautifully after a few washes. It's incredibly textured and durable.
