Fabric specifications:
A 57 inch wide heavier linen weighing 8.1 ounces it is referred to as canvas weight , this linen is perfectly suited for projects that require a sturdier yet still fashionable linen.
The Premier Finish undergoes a two-step process to give the cloth a luxurious, supple feel right out of the box.
First, we apply a softener to give the fabric a silkier surface. Then, strong blasts of air are blown into the woven cloth. This beats up the fibers to make them softer and mimics the fiber bending process that the fabric undergoes when you've used it a lot.
This finishing process gives the fabric a much softer and more luxurious hand. It will be less prone to deep creases and have less linting. Shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration based on the fabric type ( thread size, count, weave type).

Hi, I bought the white canvas linen previously. How do I tell the right side from the wrong side since they look almost identical? I can see along one selvage there is a green thread running along it while the other selvage is pure white.

Although linen does not have a discernible right or wrong side, we have found that the best way to identify the right and wrong side is by the selvage - the bumpy raised side is the wrong side where the smooth side is the right side. If you try to see or feel this after wash it will be difficult as the pinholes, which create the bumpy effect, will close up and they will not be as visible.
what is the shrinkage rate on this?

Can this be dyed?

Yes, you can dye this fabric but keep in mind part of the fabric is natural flax, and the other bleached white, so you're dye will take up differently on these two thread colors.

This fabric would not be too thick to sew triple pleated curtains, but it can be bulky. It depends on the look you are going for. We'd recommend our 4C22 for a triple pleat.

You state it doesn't get lint because of your processing. Im very familiar with pure linen and blends, pure linen Never stretches nor is it ever linty. So my question is what is the actual blend? There's never any reason to do any process on pure flax linen.

IL090 ,100%Linen washable fabric. We recommend to pre wash fabric first to avoid shrinkage before sewing the window curtains . The washing instructions are regular machine wash warm gentle cycle, only none chlorine bleach when needed, do not over dry, warm iron as needed.
I'm contemplating using this weight linen to reupholster my sofa. Is this a tight enough weave? I know it's heavy enough for the job.

IL090 is great fabric to make a throw, but it will be a little heavy. If you like to have a heavy look this fabric will work perfect. You are also able to make a fringe trim from any Linen Fabric
Is this weight good to make bread bags

Yes, you can make bread bags from this weight, but it may be a bit stiff and heavy. This fabric is usually used for a bakers cloche. You may prefer the 4C22 heavyweight.

Hello Martha, we'd recommend our IL090 rough linen for a sturdy pool shade cover. Please remember our Linen is not UV protected and colors will fade over time with exposure to the sun. So depending on your shade type and design, we'd recommend keeping this in mind and perhaps making sure it is not always outdoors.
