Linen Purificator is used during the celebration of Mass. The priest wipes the chalice with it. The cloth needs to be soft so it doesn't scratch the soft metal of the chalice. The small red cross in the center is machine embroidered with hand crocheted edging of cotton thread. Posted by Janice
